Since I have no experience with macs, itunes etc, I had hoped this book would help me find my way around my new iphone 3G. Unfortunately, this was not the case, and anything that I have accomplished (taking pictures, sending text messages, emails, using the GPS etc) I accomplished on my own, having found NO useful tips I am no further forward as far as “syncing”, ipods etc.

I cannot recommend this book at all. It was a waste of money.

I have purchased books from the Dummies series many times over the years. Generally they really aren’t for dummies, but are for smart people who are just starting with a particular topic or area, so they start at the basics and build from there.

This book starts and ends with the obvious that anyone could figure out in about a half second. It just isn’t a particularly helpful book.
